Starting today, Buchanan County members located near the Bryantsburg substation may notice Osmose Utilities (plate # EL6112) and Badgerland Utility Solutions (plate # JS9153) trucks in their area. East-Central Iowa REC contracts with Osmose Utilities out of Wisconsin to inspect poles and underground boxes. The two crews will be in the Independence area for the next two weeks. Once crews are done in Buchanan County, they will move to the Lindahl and Harrison substations located in Benton County, wrapping up inspections around the November 26th. A total of 5,034 poles will be inspected.
