ECI REC member-consumers' electric meter(s) are read the first day of the month. With the Cooperative's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system your meter is read remotely from the office.
Electricity bills are usually generated about the ninth business day of the month following the meter reading. They are mailed around the 10th day of each month. Payments must be received at ECI REC on or before the first of every month.
Payment Options - To better meet all member-consumers' needs, ECI offers several convenient ways for members to pay their bills. None have additional service fees.
Consolidate Your Accounts - Bill consolidation is available for those with multiple accounts. If all multiple-account consumers signed up for bill consolidation, ECI REC would save 28 reams of paper and over $7,400 a year.
Iowa Energy Assistance Program - Qualifying homeowners and renters can seek home heating assistance throught the Low-Income Home Energy Assistanc Program (LIHEAP).
