• Contact Iowa One Call before you dig to avoid damaging underground lines. 
• Stay away from downed power lines—they may still be energized and dangerous. 
• Keep others clear of the area until professionals arrive. 

Who Is Responsible for Repairs?

• ECI REC Responsibility
  We maintain and repair all electric lines and equipment up to your meter. If there’s an issue on our side, our crews will respond as quickly as possible to you at no cost. 
• Member-Consumer Responsibility
  All wiring and equipment beyond the meter (on your side) are your responsibility. Maintenance and repairs must be handled by you, and we recommend contacting a qualified electrician for any needed work.
