Landlord Notification

If you own rental property that receives electric service from East-Central Iowa REC, you may request to be notified before a meter is disconnected while the property is being rented.

Occasionally, tenants contact ECI REC to request disconnection when moving out, or a rental account may become past due, which could lead to service disconnection. In some cases—such as during certain weather conditions or other circumstances—property owners may wish to prevent an unexpected disconnect. By enrolling in this notification option, you will be alerted in advance of any pending meter disconnection.
