Youth Tour Application

Applicants must be a high school sophomore or junior. Selected students will be invited to speak at an ECI REC after returning from Washington, D.C. 

Dates for the 2027 Youth Tour event are June 16 through 22, 2027. 

Be sure to complete ALL sections of the online application below. 

Please include a digital image or a current photo of yourself that may be used in the newspapers and other printed materials. Pictures of the winners will be published in ECI REC's Heartland Link newsletter, website and social media platforms.

By signing above: I/We hereby give permission for our son/daughter to submit his/her name as a candidate in the Rural Electric Youth Tour Contest, and if selected as a winner to give him/her permission to travel as required.  
NOTE: The applicant's parent or legal guardian must be a current member of East-Central Iowa REC.
